Wrinkle Reduction and Lip Fillers
Hyaluronic Acid Treatment
Beautifully shaped, full, and expressive lips are an essential feature of a truly feminine face. Too thin lips can make the face appear severe, neutral, or dull.
As we age, lips can lose their fullness and become thinner, and of course, thin lips can also be hereditary, regardless of age.
At our clinic, we use the latest hyaluronic acid-based materials for lip volume enhancement and wrinkle filling.
Hyaluronic acid is a natural component of our skin that ensures elasticity and moisture. However, its concentration decreases with age, leading to skin aging, which manifests as wrinkles and loss of skin elasticity. This process also affects our lips, causing fine lines to appear around and on the lips over time. These can be effectively addressed with lip fillers.
During a lip filler procedure, a hyaluronic acid-based, absorbable filler is injected under the skin with local anesthesia. The treatment only takes a few minutes and results in sensual lips with quick and noticeable effects.
In our clinic, we use Restylane, a natural, fully degradable, and tissue-friendly material. This material is not only perfect for lip filling and thickening but also for wrinkle filling.
Areas of Application for Injectable Treatments:
- Vertical lines between the eyebrows
- Horizontal forehead lines
- Smile lines
- Crow’s feet at the outer corners of the eyes
- Fine vertical lines around the upper or lower lips due to aging
- Depressed scars
- Lip augmentation
We inject the material with a very fine needle into the skin of the treatment area. Local anesthesia is applied before the treatment. Depending on the area, the procedure takes 10-40 minutes.
The material is exceptionally flexible, so there is no risk of lump formation.
The treatment is suitable for both male and female patients.
Post-Treatment Care:
- Expect some swelling, which usually subsides within 12-48 hours.
- Avoid touching or pressing the treated area for 2 days and refrain from excessive talking or laughing.
- Protect the treated area from extreme heat and sunlight until the swelling subsides.
- Use caution while washing the treated area after 24 hours, and makeup can be applied.
- Avoid prolonged sun exposure, tanning, or extreme cold until initial redness and swelling subside.
- Avoid permanent lip contouring or tattooing for at least one month after lip augmentation.
Rare Potential Side Effects:
- Allergic reaction (inflammation, redness, tenderness), with a very low probability, typically resolving within 12-48 hours.
- Small palpable lumps at the injection site, occurring in a few percent of cases.
- Rarely, the filler may be absorbed faster than expected, depending on individual connective tissue characteristics.
- Needle punctures can trigger herpes outbreaks in patients with a history of herpes.
- Taking aspirin or similar medications may cause bruising at the injection site.
Treatment Restrictions:
- Allergy to lidocaine.
- Existing skin diseases or herpes.
- Severe allergies.
- Autoimmune diseases.
- Use of blood-thinning medications (aspirin, heparin, warfarin).
